DIRECTOR, WEB SERVICES & INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY

Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a full-time exempt Director of Web Services & Instructional Technology. The Director of Web Services and Instructional Technology is one of three technology directors in the Computer and Technology Services (CaTs) Department and is responsible for the College’s web development and application services and instructional technology services. The position directs and coordinates the Web Development and Instructional Technology Services Division of the CaTs, which develops and maintains web applications, appropriate instructional technology systems, and works together with the Office of College Communications to maintain the College’s web properties.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience is required; an advanced degree is preferred and at least five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in managing external websites, portals, and/or intranet sites, and/or instructional technology systems, preferably managing staff in a higher education environment.

• Evidence of successful planning, implementation, and assessment of web and/or instructional technology initiatives.

• A broad knowledge of web technologies and instructional technologies including an awareness of trends in these technologies and expertise in at least one aspect of the technology itself.
