Curriculum Developer
Summary: Develops, adapts, edits and maintains academically rigorous courses in a variety of curricula by performing the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • Develops new courses using instructional design techniques. • Facilitates design meetings with faculty and professional practitioners. • Builds program domains, sub domains and competencies. • Maps course topics, objectives and assignments into program designs to demonstrate that standards are met. • Manages course revisions by working with program director and other subject matter experts. • Updates existing course materials to reflect changes in law, regulation, philosophy or practice. • Follows a course revision schedule in accordance with new textbook editions, advances in technology, and developments in the field of study. • Completes assigned Curriculum Design and Development projects. • Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A.) • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None. Other Skills and Abilities: Minimum of 2 years curriculum development experience. Other Qualifications: None.
