CORA is a private, community based, nonprofit, multi-funded agency offering professional human services to children, youth, and their families in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Founded in 1971 under the sponsorship of the Sisters of Good Shepherd, CORA's focus remains on the at-risk population. Over the past thirty five years, the agency has developed a comprehensive range of services covering many professional disciplines. Each CORA program and service has been developed in response to a demonstrated need in the community.
Today, CORA's staff serves children and families in 65 non-public schools, 41 public schools, 12 school district clusters, 1 charter school, 3 city recreation centers, and 2 community centers.
NE Philadelphia agency seeking three types of Counselors:
(1) Immediate therapist positions are available in programs addressing child, adolescent and family concerns and related problems. Located in the Fox Chase section of Northeast Philadelphia, CORA needs full-time therapists to provide individual, family and group counseling services to children and parents, adolescents, young adults and families. The family focused nature of CORA's services dictates a minimum of three evenings' work and service sites include two agency-owned campuses and selected recreation centers and public schools in the greater Northeast area. Experience or course work in family therapy is essential.(2) Case Manager - Youth Development - to work collaboratively with an assigned therapist in providing group services to youth daily in an after school hours project with at risk youth and their families. Early evening availability; four evenings/week essential(3) Case Manager - Adolescent Substance Abuse - to work collaboratively with the assigned therapist in implementing the service/treatment plan with the goal of retaining or re-engaging the adolescent client in treatment. Duties also include consultations with school or other agency personnel and families in settings most conductive to achieving desired goals with clients, including but not limited to clients' homes, schools, court, recreation centers and treatment centers.

REQUIREMENTS
(1) Case Manager/Youth Development - Bachelors degree in Psychology/Social Work or related discipline. Prior experience working in structured settings with teens required, knowledge of substance abuse and their effects is helpful.(2) Case Manager/Adolescent Substance Abuse -Minimally, Bachelor degree in Psychology, Social Work or related discipline; knowledge of substances of abuse and their effects.(3) Counselor - Masters in Counseling. Minimum of three evenings work and service sites include two agency-owned campuses and selected recreation centers and public schools in the greater Northeast area. Experience or coursework in Family Therapy is essential.
