Essential Functions: 20% - Plans, develops, and coordinates a broad-based*, district-wide diversity-related training program/initiative to include annual program planning, annual spending plan/budget development, program marketing and advertising, program assessment, development of policy, procedures, and processes to support learning program, and evaluation of overall program effectiveness.
20% - Conducts in-service, broad-based* diversity-related learning courses/programs (credit and non-credit), e.g., MCCCD Diversity Competency Model Training (MOSAIC Series), Hire The Best! Selection Committee Training, Legal Issues: Employment Law Essentials, Diversity Train-The-Trainer Certification Program, etc.
15% - Conducts recruitment, selection, evaluation, and coaching of instructors, trainers or facilitators (including the coordination of subject matter experts (SMEs) and SME facilitator pools) for broad-based* diversity-related learning courses/programs.
15% - Utilizes instructional design systems to plan, develop, and coordinate curriculum for the purposes of developing instructor-led, alternative delivery and on-line broad-based* diversity-related learning courses/programs, as well as development of course/program assessment and evaluation tools and processes.
15% - Provides consultative advice and/or serves as a resource regarding broad-based* diversity-related learning activities for workgroups, colleges, or district wide committees/teams, e.g., College Diversity Coordinators, Diversity Advisory Council and/or college-based diversity committees, etc.
10% - Researches and evaluates trends regarding broad-based* diversity-related learning courses/programs/initiatives.
5% - Other duties as assigned.Job Summary: Plans, develops, organizes, implements and evaluates employee and organizational learning programs/initiatives for college or district-wide use.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications: - College degree in organizational development, organizational psychology, human resources management/development, sociology, instructional design or similar area, and experience working in employee or organizational development
Planning, developing and coordinating organizational wide training efforts in the interpersonal/human relation's areas
Experience with developing and monitoring a program budget or spending plan
Developing training curriculum, manuals, and materials
Facilitating a variety of interpersonal skills development courses/workshops for adult learners
Experience multi-tasking/managing a variety of projects
Experience conducting research, needs analyses, and program evaluation processes
Working with committees or teamsDesired Qualifications: - Master's degree in organizational development, organizational psychology, human resources management/development, sociology, instructional design or similar area, and 3-5 years experience working with diverse populations
Planning, developing and coordinating a broad-based*, organizational wide diversity-related training program/initiative
Experience developing policy, procedures, or processes to support a broad-based* diversity-related training program/initiative
Experience recruiting and coordinating a pool of trainers, facilitators, and/or subject matter experts to develop and deliver training courses/workshops
Facilitating a variety of broad-based* diversity-related courses/workshops
Conducting needs analyses and program evaluation processes specific to broad-based* diversity-related programs/initiatives
Experience serving as a resource for work groups/committees/teams regarding broad-based* diversity-related training issues/activitiesSpecial Working Conditions: May be required to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
