Content Editor (ELA) - Burr Ridge

We are seeking qualified Content Editors to join our English/Language Arts team.





Must have proven ability to write, edit, and revise K-12 educational assessment items; coordinate detailed test and item specifications; content-edit items according to item specifications; monitor item development to ensure fulfillment of all test and item specifications and overall project deliverables. In addition, candidate must have the ability to build project archives according to project standards; organize and prepare materials for review meetings with customers and/or reviews by outside experts; and participate in and/or facilitate review meetings for custom or shelf products as needed.



He/she must also be able to oversee manuscript assembly, and will be responsible for complete and accurate manuscripts for submission to production. It is also his/her responsibility to ensure that all test materials are of the highest quality, accurately reflected in specifications, and produced within scheduled timelines.



The preferred candidate will also perform major tasks in item selection, including making judgments about item appropriateness in terms of content and statistical criteria. She/he may oversee and train others regarding these tasks; lead page reviews for assigned grade levels and subject area; contribute to the design and implementation of pilot testing; prepare materials for and lead staff development and training as needed.



May serve as a Subject Matter Expert and/or Task Leader within the matrix organization; may serve as Project Manager for one or more small projects.
