Childcare Worker

The Board of Child Care, a nationally recognized 132 year old dynamic, non-profit, child and family service organization serving children and families in need is seeking energetic and dedicated individuals for its Childcare Worker positions at its locations in Baltimore, Colesville, Hagerstown and Mount Airy. Working with youth ages 9-18 in residential, shelter and semi-independent living programs. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, providing day-to-day supervision of the residents in the assigned unit to ensure that each resident's whereabouts are known at all times and each resident attends scheduled appointments and activities. Able to engage youth in a positive and therapeutic manner, able to provide positive role modeling to youth through attitude, behavior, language, dress, able to work in an interdisciplinary team setting.
REQUIREMENTS
Childcare Workers are required to have a Bachelor's Degree and a valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Must be at least 21. Evening, weekend and on-call work required.
Awake-Overnight Childcare Workers are required to have an AA degree or 60 college credits and a valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be able to work Evening and Weekend hours. Excellent oral and written skills required.
