The B&FE is responsible for developing and presenting all program curricula. This position also requires maintaining a current, strong knowledge base through clinical and educational activities. The B&FE interfaces with all co-workers in various perinatal areas, community resources, and local/national childbirth education organizations. The B&FE is a liaison between the hospital staff and administration, and the expectant parent/family. The B&FE is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The B&FE provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and
BSN or BS in related field
Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
Certification: Current CPR certification and Certification as
Childbirth Educator from nationally recognized
organization within 6 months of hire
Experience: 1-2 years of perinatal nursing
