Jackson County Health Department, located off the Independence Square is seeking a self motivated, customer service oriented individual to join the team as the Community Health Educator. In this role you will provide heath [promotion and disease prevention education and activities to the citizens of Jackson County, primarily eastern Jackson County.Job Requirements;
As the qualified candidate you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in education, community health, or a related field and one to two years of progressively responsible related experience. RN preferred. A combination of knowledge skills and abilities that will allow you to perform the essential functions of the position will be considered. You will need to understand, health promotion principles, educational methodologies, epidemiology, statistical analysis, and program design. Excellent communication, presentation and computer skills are a must.
