CLASSROOM MONITORS (Temp On-call)

Woodbourne Center, Inc., a behavioral health and education center for emotionally disturbed child and adolescents, is seeking Classroom Monitors for a special education diversion program serving day students referred by Baltimore City Public Schools. Will support Teaching staff and help maintain a productive learning environment for students. Work location is 1301 Woodbourne Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21239.

These are temporary positions without benefits. Selected candidates must commit to being available on short notice for specified days/weeks. Must be available on 24 hour notice to work between one and five days per week, 8am to 4pm. Program will operate from August 28, 2006 through the June 15, 2007.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
-High School Diploma or G.E.D.
-6 months experience as a Classroom Aide, Instructional Assistant, Tutor, Paid Parent Helper, Teaching Assistant or similar classroom support position.
-Demonstrated competence working with special needs students.
-Crisis Intervention skills.
-Excellent documentation, communication, and team work skills.
-Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
-Age 21 or older.
