CHILD CARE-LEARNING CENTER DIRECTOR

We are looking for a dynamic, high energy leader who wants to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families. We are an established center located near the Park Ridge/ Skokie area and offer a full range of pre-school and school-age educational programs. As Director, you must be a self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills, and be effective at managing the day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.


DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate effectively with children, teachers and parents
Develop and maintain positive relationships with faculty, children, families and the local community
Assume responsibility for enrollment growth
Recruit and train new teachers and employees
Maintain compliance with DCFS licensing requirements
Manage financial aspects of business including financial budget, tuition and payroll
Manage multiple priorities & projects with accuracy, flexibility and sense of urgency
Review and discuss important decisions with the Senior Management
Meet organizational goals while upholding company values, philosophies and policies
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 60 college credit hours required; BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Must meet state of IL licensing requirements for child care, including 18 hours early childhood coursework
3 yrs experience in center management preferred
Proven experience in customer service and fiscal management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
Must be flexible, with strong problem solving skills and positive attitude


SALARY & BENEFITS

Full Time Position, Monday-Friday

Salary Range: $35-$45,000 dependant on qualifications and experience.
