CHILD CARE CENTER MANAGER

The YWCA is committed to helping improve women’s lives and removing barriers to self-sufficiency through child-care, parenting skills, financial literacy and health services. The Child Care Manager plays a critical role in our ability to achieve that objective. The YWCA of Metropolitan Dallas is actively recruiting for a Child Care Center Manager, responsible for the planning, implementation and supervision of the child care program, including management of employees, finances and facilities; program development; marketing and public relations. Key responsibilities include: • Ensure the safety and health of all children in the program and ensure center and staff compliance with city, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and YWCA policies and procedures • Select, retain, evaluate and develop qualified staff to support child care operations and motivate staff through effective leadership • Oversee implementation of the High Reach Curriculum and lead the NAEYC accreditation process for the center • Establish and maintain positive relationships and appropriate on-going communication with community leaders, participants, parents, employees, and volunteers • Monitor revenue and expenses, and implement corrective measures to ensure effective administration of the budget • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Child Care Operations. REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field, with at least three years experience managing a licensed Child Care Center. Effective verbal and written communication, and the ability to perform intermediate math and computer functions are required. Demonstrated leadership and management skills and the ability to effectively respond to stressful and changing situations in a varied environment is critical to success. Must also meet and maintain current requirements to be designated a “Child Care Director” according to Texas Minimum Standards #746.1015. Experience in a NAEYC accredited environment is preferred.
