Shft: PRN/On-CallJob Description:Reviews/revises class content as needed in collaboration with BE Coordinator.
May be responsible to facilitate the following classes: Sibling Sneak Preview, Grandparent Class, Hospital Tour and Miscellaneous childbirth classes as added to the curriculum.Keeps accurate class log and submits information to the BE Coordinator. Knowledgeable about class content and able to field related questions. Maintains appropriate audio-visual displays and is knowledgeable about use of audio-visual equipment. Knowledgeable about adult learning patterns and the developmental learning needs of young children.Experience
Maintains familiarity with the facility and current clinical practices which affect the safety and learning needs of the family with young children or impending birth.Educational/ License Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with the healthcare facilities and policies of Alegent Health. Recommended Skills: Experience conducting educational classes. Experience with small children and necessary safety precautions involved with children and crafts.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must possess strong knowledge of processes associated with Maternal Child Care. As an educator, must be aware of components associated with adult learning, have a comfort level with speaking in front of groups of people, and be able to comfortably interact with people. Must possess ability to direct group dynamics to maintain a positive group experience. Must be self assured and able to function independently.
