Aquatic Group Exercise Instructor

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Certification Preferred

1-2 years experience is required

Customer service skills are required

Recent experience in the specialty area is required
Provides quality instruction to members through a variety of education and fun activities promoting fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment. Upholds the fulfillment of LifeBridge Health & Fitness Service Expectations.Examples of Work Performed1. Plans and teaches a variety of safe and effective water exercise classes to individuals and groups in a logical progression 2. Stays up-to-date with fitness industry trends 3. Provides current music ensuring the language is appropriate 4. Confers with students and Group Fitness Department Head 5. Assures class coverage personally or by finding an appropriate substitute 6. Attends instructor meetings and "all club" meetings 7. Supports other instructors and staff 8. Develops and maintains personal standards, goals, and a personal fitness program 9. Completes incident reports as necessary 10. Develops relationships with participants 11. Maintains open communication with members in regards to the Group Exercise Department by responding to their comments and suggestions in a timely and professional manner
AEA certification preferred.Will accept certain Desert Southwest Fitness Aqua certification or training.
