Aerobics Instructor

Department: Health & Wellness Center
Schedule: Part-time (less than 20 hrs/wk)
Shift: Day shift High school diploma or equivalent is required
Certification RequiredJOB SUMMARY Instructs group exercise class(es), taking into consideration varying abilities of the clientele. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) Provides continual observation and direction to insure a safe exercise area.MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Certification from an accredited agency for Aerobic Instruction.
BS/BA degree in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Adult Fitness or related field, a plus! MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE (AMOUNT AND TYPE) REQUIRED Experience required.
REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION CPR required. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
May apply use of “steps”, “bands”, “bars”, “hand weights” to exercise class(es). Must understand operation of stereo/sound system and wireless microphone.HJ ~cb~
