Adjunct Faculty Department: Psychology and Behavioral Sciences

Position Summary:

Applications are invited for adjunct faculty positions in the Psychology Program.

Position Responsibilities:

Adjunct faculty duties include teaching doctoral level courses in areas of specialty. Attendance at a monthly adjunct conference call with the program chair and at a minimum of 2 faculty meetings per semester (in person or via teleconference) are required. Adjunct faculty may also serve on academic committees with approval of the program chair. Responsible for course content and syllabi development in conjunction with program chair.Job Requirements
Qualifications for the position include:
•An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or PsyD.) in Clinical Psychology, preferably from an APA accredited institution. A license to practice psychology in Texas may be required to teach some courses.
•Experience teaching at the doctoral level with a strong commitment to excellence.
•Experience practicing in the field as a psychologist (consulting, private practice, agency work, work in the area of specialty)
•Experience in providing culturally competent educational services to a diverse student population.
•Commitment to continued professional development
•Special interest in hiring faculty with ability to teach in the area of child/family, psychological assessment, person centered or existential psychotherapy, research design and statistics, social psychology and/or cognitive science.
