Academic Coordinator

The University of California, Santa Barbara seeks to appoint a full-time Academic Coordinator for the Center for Film, Television, and New Media. The Academic Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the Center in close consultation and collaboration with the Center’s co-directors. These include developing and coordinating academic and public programming projects, grant writing, managing data sets and research materials, planning events, developing relations with the community, managing Center committees, and coordinating with the Development Office. The position requires occasional off-campus visits and weekend and evening events.
REQUIREMENTS
The Academic Coordinator should have professional training or expertise in the areas relating to the Center’s main program areas which include intellectual property, history of media, public media, environmental media, the Center’s student internship program, and broader areas of film, television, and new media from the perspective of the humanities, the arts, social sciences, and sciences. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service.
