ASSISTANT INTERPRETIVE SITE SUPERVISOR (2 POSITIONS: 00170 & 00173) - RESTRICTED POSITIONS FUNDED THROUGH MARCH 31, 2008: The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is seeking a qualified individual to assist with supervision and coordination of site programming using established educational and supervisory methods to present and monitor costumed interpretation depicting 17th - 18th century history. TO QUALIFY: Strong supervisory, leadership and organizational skills; strong and effective oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of and the ability to use recognized teaching and interpretive methods; strong training, coaching and mentoring skills; ability to read, assimilate and utilize curatorial approved information; ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a contributing member of a team; demonstrated skills in teaching and training adults; and demonstrated managerial/ supervisory, organizational and administrative skills. Degree in History, Administration, Education, or Museum Studies preferred. Considerable experience in costumed interpretation preferred.
