Boulder County, Longmont, COPurpose of the position to provide leadership, guidance, organization, management and educational opportunities to both youth and adults audiences. Master’s degree in a number of different areas but must provide a broad & significant background/understanding of youth development. REQUIREMENTS
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Completed master’s degree required. Degree(s) may have been awarded in a number of different areas, but must provide a broad and significant understanding youth development and should also reflect communications and/or behavioral sciences.
•Minimum of three years professional experience with youth development programs.•Demonstrated experience in the management of a volunteer program that includes volunteer recruitment, selection, orientation, training, assignment, evaluation, recognition and movement of volunteers into progressively more responsible roles in the organization.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Cont.):
•Experience in audience needs identification, program development, and evaluating results of programs and projects, including the appropriate involvement of advisory committees and focus groups.
•Demonstrated skill working with people as individuals, groups, and staff, and the ability to develop and lead equitable partnerships with other professionals and organizations to accomplish team goals as indicated by experience and references.•Evidence of drive and initiative as demonstrated by personal experiences and previous employment (must be a self starter).
•Demonstrated experience working directly with diverse youth and adult audiences and experience partnering with community organizations to provide educational experiences to diverse youth audiences.•Leadership ability as demonstrated by professional experience and/or elected/appointed positions of responsibility.
•Ability to communicate (oral, listening, written, teaching, public speaking and presentation skills) as demonstrated by formal training, experience and application materials.
•Demonstrated experience with conflict resolution, mediation and facilitation.
•Computer literacy as demonstrated by evidence of computer use in an educational setting, including, but not limited to program development, delivery and/or management.
