Good design and efficient production help to keep prices down. But no matter how cost-effective a product is to manufacture, its price soars if there isn’t an efficient system for getting it to the customer. Forming the backbone of the IKEA distribution network are eight Distribution Areas, each of which has one or more Distribution Centres. While the number of countries served by each Distribution Centre varies, the Centres' basic responsibility is the same: making the link between supplier and store as short and as economic as possible.Wholesale Business Navigation US partners with the NA Business Navigation and the management within Distribution Services to achieve the financial goals and ensure profitability by providing accurate and timely financial information as well as supporting the operational units with financial and controlling matters.Your Responsibilities:
Supervise the development of the Wholesale operational and legal reporting packages, supply chain costs, key figures and other reports in accordance with the IKEA standards and deadlines. Manage and direct the Wholesale Accounting function to provide timely and accurate information to the organization in an efficient and cost effective manner. Control and monitor the financial performance of the wholesale organization. Participate in the development and follow up of the annual budget. Prepare the financial forecasts. Perform, analyze, deliver and follow up the annual wholesale pricing to retail. Maintain and administer the CALC pricing system. Prepare the annual currency cash flow forecast for the Treasury Department. Maintain useful key figures and reports to be utilized as business tools by the DC’s, CDC and the DSNA management in the decision making process. Prepare financial study to evaluate the cost/benefit of new project. Provide support to the DC's. Establish, develop and implement appropriate procedures to assure good internal controls. Communicate, comply and follow up of Financial manual policies and procedures. Support the ideas of “The Human Resource Idea” with regard to co-worker recruitment, training, development and leadership. Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and CPA. 5 to 7 years of analytical, operational and controlling experience in similar position and environment, 3 plus years IKEA Distribution Center experience a plus. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Proven highly developed leadership skills, 3 years management experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Advanced PC skills with a high degree of proficiency with MS based applications.
