Sandvik Materials Technology is looking for a Warehouse Operator to work with stainless steel tube, pipe, bar in Houston, TX. The facility is located on South Loop East near the Astrodome. In the next year the position will move to the Stafford area.

The primary responsibilities for this position include:
• Unloading and loading of trucks
• Operation of heavy equipment (forklift, sideloader, and overhead crane)
• Inspection of inventory, packed goods, and returned materials
• Material selection for customer order
• Physical handling and packaging of inventory to customer specification
• Purchase consumable goods
• Operate in a team-based environment
• Perform administrative duties
REQUIREMENTS
The Successful candidates should meet the following requirements:
• High school diploma required
• 3-5 years previous warehouse experience, preferably steel-related
• Excellent communication skills. Must be proficient in English, Spanish is a plus.
• High level of customer service
• Must be a self-starter / proactive
• Ability to work in a team environment
• High attention to detail
• Must have computer experience
• Have a desire to grow in the position by acquiring new skills and accepting more responsibility
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in all temperatures
