(TMP) has been a highly respected national business-to-business distributor of musical accessories and pro-audio equipment to music stores and sound contractors. This position is located at our headquarters in Berlin, CT, within our newly built 22,000-square-foot warehouse, where we distribute for over 100 companies, such as Sony, JVC and Philips. We are a small company of less than 35 employees; however, we continue to grow and possess great potential. Thus, TMP is preparing to realize such potential with the right applicant for these entry-level positions!Responsibilities:TMP is seeking reliable, responsible, and motivated workers who may not necessarily have experience in materials handling. This is an entry level position so all that is required is that you are willing to learn the warehouse functions of picking, packing, shipping and receiving on-the-job.Every day tasks include a wide range of physically demanding warehouse functions, including picking and packing product from small parts to 70-lb. master cartons, by hand, pallet jack and forklift. An additional function involves processing shipments via Microsoft Windows-based shipping software, as well as shipping documents, including bills of lading.Essential Skills:oA fast learner who is able to learn new things or pick up new skills quickly and easily.
oComputer literacy with knowledge and experience using Microsoft Windows-based software (i.e. Word, Outlook, etc.). Previous experience with any other Windows-based software to administer inventory, receiving, shipping, etc. would be a plus!
oGood memory for accuracy and efficiency.oProductivity-focused attitude.
oExcellent problem-solving skills, common sense and logical thought-process.
oEffectiveness and proactive approach to managing time and resources to ensure goals are reached and daily operations run in the best possible manner.
oWillingness and capability of the physically demanding aspects of this position.
