Truck Driver - Class A CDL Drivers
Black Horse Carriers, Inc. is seeking Truck Drivers - Class A CDL Drivers. We are currently accepting applications for full and part time positions. We have the ability to sign up new accounts, however we need professional and courteous drivers to service these new accounts.

We are a contract carrier that has been operating in the Allentown, PA area since 1998. Our customers are top nationally and locally recognized corporations. We have terminals in PA, NY, MD, VA, IL, & WI. We are currently looking for drivers out of our Center Valley, PA location.

Requirements
Class A CDL drivers with 3 years experience in the Northeast
You must posses a clean MVR and a verifiable clean work record
We require our drivers to be safety conscience and professional minded
Equipment
We utilize lease equipment which enables us to provide new equipment within every 4 years and 24/7 roadside coverage. New 2006 Columbia Freightliners are on schedule for delivery in the Fall of 2006.
Driver Work Environment
Our drivers are home daily. We operate 2 shifts of drivers averaging approx.10-12 hr days. We do a 5 day/6 day work week, meaning every other weekend you get Sat & Sun off. Our dispatch and office personnel all are current and qualified CDL drivers from our driver pool so they understand the job and what it takes to accomplish it.
Drivers Pay
The weekly average driver pay is $1300 per week. Our pay varies by the account. Some contracts we convert mileage into hours and pay hourly, some pay mileage, some pay by the run. We do pay detention time for problems and breakdowns that are no fault of the driver. Our drivers get paid for all the work they do.
Safety Bonus
We insist our drivers place safety as their #1 priority and we are willing to pay for that. Our safety bonus is a 2 fold system:
1st, drivers are placed into groups of 8-12 and each driver is awarded $250 every 2 months for a perfect safety performance by the group.
2nd, every 6 months each driver is eligible for a $400 individual bonus for a perfect safety performance.
Driver Benefits
We pay 2/3 of our drivers medical insurance.
Our 401k ranks among the top 1% in the country. Up to 10% of your gross pay, the company will match 50%.
Company provides, at no charge, $10,000 in life insurance and disability insurance.
We provide 6 paid holidays and paid vacations. Drivers earn 1 week vacation after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years, and 3 weeks after 5 years.
