Regional
Schneider National regional drivers and owner-operators serve clients in particular regions of the United States.In the Northeast region, drivers and owner operators haul freight for customers in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
In the Western region, drivers and owner operators haul freight for customers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming (most freight travels along the I-5 corridor in California, Oregon and Washington).
Regardless of which region you cover, you will get to enjoy a higher degree of predictability and consistency, both in terms of work schedule and routes.Bulk (Tanker)
Schneider National Bulk Carriers, Schneider National's tanker division, is the seventh largest bulk carrier in the industry. We transport water treatments, latex, solvents, polymers and more than 5,000 other commodity chemicals. Over 75 percent of our loads are non-hazardous.
Intermodal (Local/Regional)
If you’re an experienced driver or owner-operator and would like more time-at-home in addition to a predictable work life and excellent earning potential, look no further than Schneider National’s Intermodal division.Intermodal is one of the fastest growing divisions within Schneider and the transportation industry as well. As a regional intermodal driver for Schneider, you will be responsible for picking and up delivering loads to and from rail yards. Our regional opportunities provide you with guaranteed weekly time-at-home, while our local opportunities will get home every day.Specialized (Flatbed)
Schneider National, the largest carrier in the country and the largest glass hauler in North America, has everything you need to move your career into overdrive. Our glass division is relied on heavily to haul flat-glass on flatbed trailers for use in the automotive industry, and in the construction of commercial buildings.Not only will you be treated like a professional, you'll be rewarded with great pay and benefits. As a Specialized Driver, you’ll earn up to $.05 more per mile in extra pay. Company-provided training, job security and long-term support are just a few of the great benefits you can expect.HomeRun Program
The HomeRun Program provides an alternative work arrangement that offers drivers a more predictable work schedule and maximum time-at-home. Home Run pods consist of groups of three drivers who live near each other, sharing two tractors.
Each driver runs solo for two weeks straight. One driver gets one week at home, while the other two run. You’ll have your own personal calendar for a year to identify and mark out your weeks at home. You can switch in and out of service on Wednesdays.Job Requirements
