Transportation Supervisor (3rd Shift)

This position has overall responsibility for supervisory functions and personnel in the Transportation Department.
The major responsibilities for this position include the supervision and assignment of specific responsibilities to all Transportation personnel which includes route delivery, transportation activities, and other duties, as required by the needs of the facility and the customer base; ensuring that the branch provides excellent internal and external customer service and managing the Human Resources aspect of supervision including performance appraisals, counseling and various performance marker measurements.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements include the following:-Fleet Management experience within the greater Chicago area.
-Previous management experience of at least three years is preferred.
-Understanding of how to motivate and provide supportive leadership for those supervised. This would include practicing a “coaching” style of management that utilizes collaborative and team directed approaches to managing employees.
-Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment, cases, metal containers, or boxes in excess of 50-80lbs.
-Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to pass pre-employment substance abuse screening, DOT Physical, and a background check.
-Computer literate**This is a 3rd shift full-time position.**
