Transfill Delivery Driver w/CDL & Haz Mat

I. SUMMARY
Responsible for transport and delivery of oxygen and home healthcare/medical equipment.

II. JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Transports oxygen, home healthcare/medical equipment and supplies to specified locations.
Maintains a clean and safe truck and trailer area in accordance to City, State and Department of Transportation regulations.
Completes written production and delivery documents accurately and legibly.
Complies with all FDA guidelines for storage and handling of medical gases.
Develops technical knowledge, as appropriate, of the HME or respiratory products and services provided by the company.

B. Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in regular hazardous material handling training.
Reports equipment hazards and/or product incidents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Performs deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
4 years Class A Equipment with clean MVR. Hazmat tranport experience preferred.

B. Certifications, License, Registrations
Commercial Driver’s License with hazardous materials and/or other endorsements as required by State.
Meet qualifications according to Department of Transportation.
Maintains a good driving record.
Maintains a valid driver’s license.

C. Communication Skills
Ability to clearly communicate and interact in a positive manner with other Rotech employees, patients, customers and vendors.
Possesses good written communication skills.

D. Analytical Skills
Ability to determine when equipment or vehicle is unsafe.
Ability to determine appropriate corrective actions for safety hazards or incidents.

E. Physical Demands
Loading and unloading of equipment
Ability to lift in excess of 100 lbs on a regular basis
Ability to sit for extended period of time

F. Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities
Operates any vehicle up to and in excess of 26,001 GVW
Operates machinery used for loading and unloading
Operates office equipment
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn
