Supply Chain Specialist

•Technical evaluation and selection of global suppliers and qualification of their manufacturing processes

•Build suppliers’ understanding of our material requirements

•Resolving supplier-related issues and nonconformances

•Work together with suppliers on programs designed to reduce the total cost while maintaining quality

•Management of supplier long term agreements

•Interfacing with design for support of new product programs

•Coordinate and lead Procurement projects

•Work closely with other departments to optimize service level and lead times

•Assessment/risk analysis of make/buy decisions

•Management of WW KanBan inventory

•Work to optimize inventory levels to meet production and service level goals

•Help to analyze manpower and material costs

•Requisition/purchase materials within certain product lines and/or commodities

•Perform analysis and prepare reports as directed by supervisor

•Write procurement specifications and participate in Reverse Auctions

•Graph procurement efficiency measures

•ABC part analysis

•Management of Emerson Material Information Network

•Maintain forecasts for strategic materials

•Optimize inventory levels to meet ITO goal
REQUIREMENTS
•6 years production control and planning experience in a high-mix manufacturing environment

•4 year degree in Business or technical field. APICS certification a plus

•Excellent oral/written communication skills and a high level of self-discipline and organization

•Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

•Project management experience

•Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Demand Flow organizations a plus

•Experience working with investment castings, machining, design for manufacturability, geometric tolerancing, quality systems, and process capability tools a plus

•Computer knowledgeable with working knowledge of MS applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Oracle, MfgPro, or MS Project a plus

•Effective presentation skills

•Ability to infrequently lift 30 lbs. safely
