Sourcing Leader - Freight and Professional Services
Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: SourcingResponsibilities: This Sourcing Leader will lead INDIRECT MATERIALS & SERVICES purchase family teams for LS & MDx with US savings targets exceeding $1.5M annually in Freight and Professional Services. In addition to negotiating with suppliers, this position will drive significant changes required within the business to reduce cost through changes in behavior and process optimization in 2006. This position will implement new processes, systems, sourcing tools and Compliance SOPs.This positions key responsibilities include:Manage strategic and tactical execution of multiple Purchase Family's including savings requirements, escalations due to delivery/quality issues, invoicing/payable issues, database management, etc. and drive the development, communication, and execution of sourcing for certain categories of spend of the GEHC Bio-sciences in the US to ensure realization of business objectives.Actively support supplier selection, development and overall supplier management and create and leverage business opportunities through negotiation and contract development.Lead quality performance and improvement strategies, supplier delivery performance to meet the needs of the business.Determine supplier rationalization to meet any dual source strategies requirements.Drive improvement in sourcing processes through digitization and simplification; support preparation and execution of new tools and processes as required. Utilize Six Sigma methodology and lead cross functional business teams to improve supplier performance and achieve purchase family goals and objectives.Leverage strong field, technical, and market expertise, as well as supplier capabilities, to develop comprehensive global strategy that delivers a competitive advantage to the business.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: -Bachelors Degree in business field plus 3 years of experience in a role directly related to service, manufacturing, or sourcing knowledge; or High School Diploma and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a role directly related to service, manufacturing, or sourcing knowledge.Strong analytic skills: able to solve problems by analyzing data, identifying root causes and proposing workable solutions.
Excellent communication skills: able to work across multiple levels and functions; able to clearly communicate information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing.
Strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation including functions such as SUM, pivot tables, Copy/Paste and Data Sort.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
You must be willing to take a drug test.
You must be willing to work at our Piscataway, NJ facility, but also occasionally work out of our Princeton, NJ facility to understand the spend in your related purchase family.Desired: -Solid negotiation, impact and influence skills internally and externally and a high level of integrity, energy and enthusiasm.
Excellent financial analytical, communication and commercial negotiation skills with the ability to solve problems, project manage and develop supplier relationships and build rapport at all levels within an organization.
