Shipping and Receiving Specialist

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

This position performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks in the dealership’s parts department. Multi-tasking is key in this position with both external and internal customers.

If chosen this person will also be expected to:assist Parts Specialists by answering parts calls, assist with front counter sales, and daily distribution of parts to technicians.complete other duties as assigned from time to time by the Parts Manager.

It is important that this person listens to the customer, assists the techs and parts specialists as needed, assists customers and delivers beyond expectations and has fun being the best! It is that easy. This person works closely with all parts and office personnel to provide the best shipping/receiving managment avaible. REQUIREMENTS


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Qualified candidates "must" have 2+ years demonstrated work experience in the following areas to be considered for the position: Must be familiar with UPS, Fed-EX and L.T.L. vendors and able to competently process inbound and outbound shipments. Load and unload freight trucks, and must be forklift certified or have the ability to be certified.Provide unsurpassed customer service.Assist in inventory control. General housekeeping for the department. Must have working knowlege of how to safely package, tape, weigh, and lift heavy boxes for shipping. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be computer literate; be able to demonstrate clear communication skills, and the ability to answer phones and speak over two-way radio. Knowledge of MS Excel is a plus!Physical requirements: must be able to lift at least 50lbs., bend, twist, stoop, with legs and back, and push, pull, reach, grab with back, arms and hands. Pre-employment physical and drug screen is required. Must have CLEAN DMV. On occasion parts delivery or alternate branch coverage may be required. Applicants must reside within 35 miles of this area due to operating hours and traffic congestion.
