Shipping Warehouse Team Leader

SCA, a global multi-billion dollar international paper, packaging, hygiene and forestry company is seeking a Shipping Warehouse Team Leader for our Colorado Springs, CO facility. ·Schedule shipping of all finished products. This requires coordination with production, customer service and shipping personnel. Determine appropriate tractor/trailer combination either in-house or outside source; appropriate load placement; and employee staffing levels. Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they are packaged properly. Maintain appropriate shipping documentation.
·Manage, motivate, and develop shipping personnel including hiring, training, evaluations, goal setting, and career and personal development. Communicate and support all company policies and procedures to employees.
·Coordinate accurate inventory levels with production schedule. Ensure that there is enough product on hand at all times.
·Monitor receiving of raw materials and other supplies. This includes verifying quantities, condition, and pricing.
·Schedule irregular deliveries such as loose fill and/or pick up of recycled product.
·Monitor and schedule needed maintenance of warehouse equipment (including tractor-trailers), providing both preventative maintenance and any other necessary repairs. Recommend equipment requirements and replacements to management.
·Coordinate frequent rearrangement of products and locations in the warehouse to achieve the most efficient warehouse space for better productivity and efficient, safe operations. Maintain clean, safe work environment. Assure that all safety rules and requirements are adhered to.
Assist in month-end inventory counts, including scheduling personnel for count, ordering and assembling of inventory tags and counting inventory.
REQUIREMENTS
·3-5 years experience in warehousing
·Proficient knowledge of shipping / receiving procedures
·Knowledge of manufacturing process and raw material properties
·Strong organizational, communication, supervisory and leadership skills
·Bar coding experience
·High school education or equivalent
