Local San Diego sheet metal manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Shipping/Receiving Manager.DUTIES:
Manage the day to day activities of the shipping/receiving dept.
Responsible for coordinating and scheduling outgoing or incoming materials, parts, or products.
Review contract/customer requirements with regard to packaging and shipping.
Oversee the picking, packaging and crating of products.
Prepare all shipping documents and labels per contract requirements.
Negotiate freight quotes and schedule outgoing shipments.
Assist in physical inventory.
Provide shipping status to customers.
Manage 5 to 10 employees, including training.
