Shipping Manager

Currently, QPSI has an immediate opening for a Shipping Manager in the Memphis Facility that will oversee and coordinate activities of workers, verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment by performing the following duties:

Will schedule, bill of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet daily shipping methods requirements
Work with Order Pickers to make sure products are pulled correctly and on schedule and determine routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of states
Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded
Communicate with PC and provide records of unfilled orders
Posts weight and shipping charges
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise the Department and make sure subordinates follow standardize procedures, resolve grievances and do their performance reviews
Will work with the warehouse supervisors to ensure the overall performance of the warehouse staff
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years experience in warehouse/shipping & Receiving and supervisory experience
Must speak, read and write English and be able to write written procedures
