Senior Vendor Manager
Business Unit: GE Commercial Finance, Capital SolutionsFunction: MarketingResponsibilities: This position is the primary contact for assigned Vendor(s) as well as liaison for cross-functional departments within Access Distribution. Responsible for managing the relationship between Access Distribution and assigned Vendor(s) and all related activities. Responsible for development and execution of Vendor(s) business plan(s) and monitoring Vendor(s) profitability. Researching and analyzing market data to set strategic goals and direction of Vendor(s). Train all necessary Access Distribution personnel (including Sales, Operations, Warehouse, Accounting and Financial Services) on Vendor(s) needs, processes, requirements, etc. Advise Director of Vendor(s) goals, profitability, key issues, improvements and/or actions required to maintain/grow Vendor(s) profitability and/or relationship
Design and implement vendor/practice strategy to achieve revenue goals
Manage vendor relationships in conjunction with marketing team, including negotiating new programs/opportunities and contract management
Direct the design, implementation and performance of program initiatives, program elements, training, sales tools and marketing communications for resellers and internal resources to achieve revenue and gross profit objectives. Present business plans, programs and status reports to management
Evaluates vendor/reseller relationships in order to make recommendations regarding maintaining or exiting the relationships
Manage and leverage cross-business relationships to maximize best practices and build efficiencies by eliminating redundancies
Other duties as assigned
Approximately 25% travel (local, US, international)
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum 7 years business development, marketing or sales experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated business acumen and relationship management skills
Understanding of channel structure
Ability to develop, implement and manage against business plans
Ability to analyze financial assessment information and communicate risks and/or opportunities to customers and leadership
Skilled in market research and analysis
Knowledge of marketing, communications and branding principles
Demonstrated Project/Time Management skills; ability to successfully drive projects to completion and facilitate cross-functional teams
Sensitivity to confidential organizational/customer information
Ability to interface at all levels within an organization, including technical experts and C-level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated strength in influencing/negotiation skills
Flexibility
Self-motivated
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Internet
You must be willing to take a drug test
