Production Planner

This position will be for our distribution center on 4000 E. Airport Drive Suite C, Ontario, California 91761.

The Production Planner is responsible for production planning and the execution of that plan for the blister pack and display department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the planning, scheduling, tracking and expediting production for each department.
Develop, communicate and drive daily/weekly production requirements base on demand, capacity, forecast, and materials.
Prepare and present daily/weekly reports regarding production schedule, materials shortage, and back orders recovery plan in a timely manner.
Work in conjunction with the planers to resolve daily production issues including inventory discrepancies, material shortages
Responsible for the cost analysis to determine whether to out source or build displays in house.
Maintain system accuracy and credibility for planning data/reporting.
Revise and maintain capacity requirements. Identify conflicts of demand and capacity. Evaluate the impact and keep operations informed.
Help implement and support departmental projects and goals in process improvements and cost reduction.
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Reports directly to the production manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or 2-4 year equivalent work experience in related area.
Strong production planning skills.
Proficient in PC applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Apics certification preferred.
