Production Coordinator (Chemical Manufacturing)

W.R. Grace & Company is a $2 billion specialty chemicals manufacturing company. We have an immediate need for an eperienced Production Coordinator for our Edison, New Jersey plant.

Education:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED.


Work Experience:
Requires a minimum of Five (5) to Seven (7) years of job related experience in plant operations and/or supervision.


Special Requirements:
his position supervises hourly operators and involves production planning duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Major responsibilities include: improve safety culture and meeting safety goals, supervise employees, ensure environmental compliance, ensure requirements of production are met, monitor and oversee quality and process control, troubleshoot processes, follow up on maintenance requirements and status, maintain housekeeping standard. Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization. Strong team work and team building abilities. Work safely, safely lift up to 50 pounds, wear requisite safety equipment and be physically able to reach remote areas of the plant. Coach employees on working safety to produce catalyst in a timely fashion. Must be able to exercise good judgement: evaluate data and trends and make decisions based on the data. Good computer skills. Interface with instrumentation through the computer. Innovative, action oriented problem solving skills. Determines daily production requirements and ensures necessary resources are in place to meet production and quality requirements. Writes daily process instructions and communicates daily plant priorities. Self-starter, exercise good judgment, handle multiple tasks and changing priorities while exhibiting leadership qualities. Good mechanical aptitude and able to comprehend and communicate documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to interpret data, plan ahead and anticipate problems. Provides leadership in troubleshooting plant problems. Identifies long term solutions to recurring problems. Have the ability to use the computer to access and input information and run programs. Plans, schedules, and prepares the plant for daily maintenance. Works closely with maintenance on establishing maintenance priorities and planned/predictive activities. Works closely with the technical department on implementing new and improved processes.
