Process Technician / Shipping Inspection

Specific job responsibilities: Operate 300mm vertical furnace / HF strip bath / wafer cleaving / optical microscope inspection / measure bulk metals and edge profile using automated equipment / operate automated wafer sorter / other responsibilities to be added as new techniques are brought on-line.

Operate advanced measurement equipment for structural and electrical characterization.
Use SPC techniques as a part of routine analysis.
Evaluate test results and report results to project requestors.
Work independently or as a team member on non-routine projects.
Perform routine quality monitoring tests for Production and Customers.
Operate and perform routine maintenance on anneal and oxidation furnaces.
Perform etching of furnace quartz-ware and preferential etching of wafers.
Assist engineers in resolving routine instrument problems.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on instruments as needed.
Write, revise and maintain SWP documentation and training materials.
Assist in department training.


Requirements:

*AS degree or equivalent, or 2-3 years experience in process manufacturing environment required.
Intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use precision measuring tools and analytical instruments.
Knowledge of production processes, measurements and quality systems.
Experience with data collection and industrial statistical analysis methods, including SPC.
Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management skills.
Ability to manage several projects at the same time.
