Planner/Material Handler - 13265

Responsible for obtaining materials, components, and equipment to support Production and Ship Schedule.Manage suppliers for capacity, quality, cost, and on-time delivery. Execute weekly MRP order action buy and exception messages.Drive and coordinate efforts for cost reduction and outsourcing by working directly between engineering, planning, manufacturing, and suppliers. This includes: overall project management, supplier negotiation, identification of alternate suppliers, make-to-buy opportunity analysis, and sellback of excess materials. Responsible for the planning and execution of the operations goals and objectives for materials. Analyze inventory for cause, effects, and disposition of Excess and Obsolete materials.Maintain purchasing metric data for management reporting, including cancellations, past due purchase orders, outside processing repair jobs, and MRB return to vendor disposition.Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. In addition you will also kit up large work orders, containing approximately 100 parts. They count parts and verify that the shipment is complete. Includes handling the parts,Can include packing the parts in a crate, Keeping track of a parts and kits, will also include scheduling work with manufacturing
REQUIREMENTS
BA / BS or Equivalent experience,Strong written and oral communication skills, 5 to 8 years experience in procurement, and outsourcing.
Working knowledge of ERP and related business processes. Experience with SAP a MUST. proficiency in Microsoft office suite( i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Project management skills a plus
