Become an indispensable member of the Texas Army National Guard team. In the Guard, the Petroleum Supply Specialist is a Soldier who receives, stores, accounts for and cares for, dispenses, issues, and ships bulk or packaged petroleum, oils, and lubricant products. This Soldier keeps the Guard’s vital equipment fueled and ready for their missions.

The Texas Army National Guard is an elite group of warriors who dedicate a portion of their time to serving their nation. Guard members train part-time to be ready full-time, should their state or nation call them to serve.

Major Duties

Receives and stores bulk and packaged petroleum, oils, and lubricantsIssues and dispenses bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using unitsSelects and submits samples of petroleum, oils, and lubricants to laboratory for testingPerforms petroleum and water accounting dutiesOperates equipment associated with petroleum and water distribution system and multi-product pipeline systemFuels and defuels vehicles, aircraft, and stationary equipmentTakes emergency precautions to prevent harm to self and facilities in event of petroleum spillage or fire
