Packaging Material Handler

Responsibilities:
*Performs medium to heavy material handling functions within the department, moving product and components within the department as required.
*Loads and unloads sterilization trucks with product onto conveyors for further processing.
*Care and attention required in handling and moving materials and in checking and verifying product identification numbers.
*Operates hand or power equipment to move materials throughout the department.
*Awareness of machinery and nearby personnel to avoid injury when moving components throughout the department.
*Discards rejects and records information as needed.
*Complete fork lift training and testing to operate an electric or propane powered fork lift. *
*Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
*Follows GMP guidelines, safety procedures, SOP’s at all times.
*Works in other functions within the department as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
* High School Education or equivalent.
* Good communication skills, including the ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
*Good previous work history with good attendance.
*Ability to perform simple arithmetic and be able to use a calculator for determining units packaged.
* Manual dexterity.
