Packaging Engineer - Canning

May lead some technical projects.
Support technical initiatives with some exposure to business teams.

Preparation of technical reports.
Develop & issue technical specifications.Accountabilities:
Familiarity with fiscal and strategic plans as appropriate for project assignments and participation in brainstorming and information gathering for planning process as needed.
Plan technical project tasks and execute with a minimum of supervision, manages small to medium sized projects independently.
Complete projects on budget, appropriate attention to cost considerations
Complete HR inputs for manager on time (PMA, IDP)
May travel up to 50% of time. Must be able to travel independently and as a responsible CAG representative.
Work Environment: Office, laboratory, pilot plant and plant environmentsBS in Packaging or related field w/ 1-4 years relevant work experience
MS in Packaging or related field w/ 0-2 years relevant work experience
Related fields include: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Arts, Industrial Engineering
Experience in R&D Packaging Development required, in a CPG company desired. Ideal candidate has exposure to / experience in canning and thermal processing and is willing to be groomed to be a can expert.
