Overnight Freight Teammates

The General Merchandise Overnight Freight Teammate is responsible for handling all merchandise being delivered to the store with the goal of speedy and efficient stocking of sales floor and back room area. Implements major planograms as directed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:TIME ALLOCATION:
Handles all hard/home merchandise being delivered to the store: unloads semi-trailer trucks; stocks merchandise on the sales floor; returns and accurately places excess stock in the back room.80%
Pulls merchandise off of stock room shelves according to assigned auto pull documentation.10%
Ensures stock room cleanliness and orderliness: performs pull-tag scans and counts; empties shelves of unused boxes; assists with backroom inventory counts.

REQUIREMENTS
1.Must demonstrate ShopKo’s commitment to provide exceptional customer service.
2.Must be able to stay focused and work at a fast pace while performing repetitive tasks.
3.Detailed-oriented for handling merchandise and stock room logistics.
4.High school equivalent reading and math skills.
5.Ability to work with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
1.Must be able to move around stock room and sales floor for extended periods.
2.Requires repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds when unloading semi-trailer trucks and re-stocking back room.
3.Must demonstrate physical agility (bending, twisting, reaching, pulling) for handling merchandise in stock room and sales floor.
4.Must be able to climb a 6 foot ladder to stock merchandise.
5.Requires repetitive ladder stepping to stock merchandise.
6.Must be available to work nights and weekends to meet store needs.
May volunteer to operate fork lift if 18 years or older and successfully completed
