Optics Engineer
Optics Engineer Job - Great Opportunity!!! World leading supplier of sensors and controls is actively seeking an Optical Engineer for their MA location. A minimum of 5 years experience and a B.S. in Physics, Optics, or Electrical Engineering and a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. A M.S. is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include designing optical sensors from first principles for Vision Systems. You will design the electro-optic sensor, and you will also design high volume optical test systems for validating the sensor performance in running vision algorithms. A good candidate will be able to perform lens design and analysis, optical tolerancing, optical coating, opto-mechanical design, and component techniques. Experience with design and manufacture of high volume optical components such as molded plastic and glass optics is desirable. You will have to develop analytical models and use industry software, ZEMAX-EE, to predict optical system performance under all conditions including thermal and vibration. You will work closely with lens manufactures to fabricate, coat, and test lens systems. GREAT SALARY AND BENEFITS. RELOCATION IS AVAILABLE.
