If you're as excited about the future as we are, consider this opportunity.The Distribution Center Operations Manager effectively manages the activities of the DC Operations to achieve objectives in regards to cost, productivity, employee performance and customer serve.
RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential duties and responsibilities for the Operations Manager position include the following:
Manages operation of the distribution center to meet cost per hour, cost per cube, efficiency standards and safety standards.Establishes operations performance objectives and strategic plans.
Develops the operations team, including Supervisors and Hourly employees into a cohesive team that represents Mattel's Values.
Responsible for the direction and supervision of Supervisors in the departments of receiving, warehouse and shipping.Creates accurate labor forecasts to properly design labor planning schedules.
Ensures that all company policies and procedures and union contract are followed.Responsible for the development and management of the departmental budget to insure cost efficiencies.Creates and maintains functional and cross-functional partnerships and teams.Other duties may be assigned as required to support business needs.

Skilled at creating and maintaining functional and cross-functional partnerships and teams.
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies are a plus
Experience in a union facility a plus
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong time management skills.
Willing to relocate to support business need and professional development.
Bachelors degree required.
Minimum 6 years management experience required.
Knowledge and experience with distribution operating systems, logistics and forecasting.
Experience with development and management of variable budgets; familiar with basic accounting principles.
Knowledge and experience using Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access computer systems
