Manager - IT Procurement & Vendor Management

The Manager - IT Procurement and Vendor Management will support information technology needs by contracting, administering contracts and managing IT vendor relationships.

Specific duties will include:



1. Manage the staff, overall performance and results of day to day activity for Asset Management, License Management/Compliance, IT Procurement, processing of IT invoicing, and all other negotiations for all IT products and services. Manage workload and provide accountability. Escalate issues as required. Conduct performance reviews and staff development. Manage SOX compliance.

2. Initiate and support quality improvement activities. Solicit and utilize internal customer input in developing new products and services and improve customer satisfaction through establishment and maintenance of strong supplier relationships. Lead cross-functional teams to determine internal requirement and develop, release and review RFP responses. Support IT Procurement processes through automation and continuous improvement.

3. Manage the business plans and follow capital and expense budget planning and cost control for area of responsibility. Conduct, develop and communicate financial analysis and comparisons of supplier costs. Review and analyze vendor charges and pass through costs for appropriateness and accuracy. Initiate, negotiate and secure hardware/software licensing and agreements.

4. Lead focus on customer support through ensuring continuous improvement of supplier delivered services. Develop, manage and maintain service level agreements with suppliers. Initiate, coordinate and conduct formal supplier evaluations and trend analysis. Provide point of contact for suppliers' information needs. Oversee vendor compliance with company policies.

5. Develop IT tactical planning efforts in conjunction with key technology suppliers and internal partners.

6. Develop communication and/or training to educate end users about IT Procurement and its processes and policies. Measure effectiveness and re-evaluate as needed.
REQUIREMENTS


The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Bus Admin, Finance, Accounting or Management or related area or equivalent combination of education & experience. Five or more years' experience in corporate Vendor Management or Purchasing Management with specific IT hardware, software and systems purchasing experience, preferably with some direct reports. Demonstrated negotiation skills. Two or more years' experience with IT processes and procedures in multiple area including Computing Hardware/Software, Data Center Services, Telecommunications, Asset Management, Architecture and Infrastructure required. Demonstrated statistical and analytical problem solving skills. Demonstrated effective organizational, planning, presentation and communication skills. 3 or more years' experience with Microsoft Office Suite. 2 or more years' experience GAAP and legal contract knowledge. Ability to work on multiple projects, meeting deadlines with minimal direction.
