Logistics and Distribution Manager

Job Function: Supply Chain/Logistics Business Unit: Aerospace Automotive and Commercial Transportation - AFL Automotive DivisionJob Status: Full-TimeRelocation Eligible: NegotiablePosition Description: The incumbent will be a senior manager experienced in Material distribution and Logistics operations. This position will drive the organization to focus on and improve AFL's delivery methods. Expectations include managing strategic customer partnerships, securing new delivery processes and the daily operations of the warehouse. Daily operations include, but are not limited to safety, material storage, delivery, scheduling, and quality. In general, the functions are:
Logistics related activities for outbound transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.

Management of containers "greening" and delivery methods.

Capacity planning and industrial engineering for service and logistics

Participation in inventory reduction programs.

Initiate Strategic Sourcing programs (i.e. Outsourcing)

Cost reduction efforts driven through the coordination between demand and supply disciplines.

Provide leadership for operational issues.

Provide leadership as well as motivate subordinate staff.

Responsible for sizing & managing all finished good countermeasures (buffers, stores, & safety stock).

Perform other functions as assigned.

Accountable for EHS Dallas, Del Rio, and others as needed.

Accountable for all Asat/SOX audit Protocols for Dallas, Del Rio, and others as needed.

Accountable for Financial Performance for Dallas , Del Rio, and others as needed.

Ability to travel 20-50 percent of time between Dallas, Del Rio, and others as needed.>/ul>Job Requirements
Minimum Education Required: BachelorsMinimum Years of Experience: 5Minimum Travel Required: 25-50%Basic Qualifications: Experience in Managing Logistics or Distribution center.Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of MS office applications

Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and analytical skills

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Oracle experience a plus

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish), a plus
