Logistics US/Canada Regional Compliance Manager

We are currently seeking a Logistics US/Canada Regional Compliance Manager to be located in Wichita, KS. The Regional Transportation CSO is responsible for compliant transportation of products and materials owned or shipped by INVISTA. INVISTA operates 22 sites in the US and Canada that prepare and ship materials. In addition INVISTA contracts with multiple third parties to store, warehouse, repackage, transload, and process materials. These third parties then ship the material on behalf of INVISTA. The CSO is responsible for working with each site to ensure transportation compliance systems and processes are developed and implemented.

Position Responsibilities:

Implement INVISTA Transportation Compliance Standard.
Ensure transportation incidents are reported, tracked, and investigated.
Review and update Transportation Issues in emerging issues monitoring database monthly
Identify key emerging issues and communicate impact to INVISTA.
Perform physical inspections as appropriate, or review industry available records of physical inspections of contractor programs, equipment and performance.
Execution of land transportation carrier selection (i.e. Motor Carrier, Rail, Warehouse and Trans-load operations).
Develop and implement an Emergency Response Plan that ensures adequate response in the event of a transportation incident involving INVISTA material.
Provide training to Logistics and Operations personnel
Coordinate periodic emergency drills to improve the effectiveness of the Plan.
REQUIREMENTS
5 + years of experience with transportation compliance
Familiar with logistics operations across multiple modes of transportation (highway, rail, air, and marine)
Experience in analyzing and applying regulatory requirements in an operations setting
Experience managing compliance across multiple sites and jurisdictions
Experience auditing company operations and contractor performance
Trained/certified in DOT, IATA, IMDG and TDG regulations
Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
Bachelors Degree required; Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Science or Engineering preferred
Experience working with government agencies on regulatory interpretation, inspections and special permit applications preferred
Trained/Certified in European, Mexico, South America and Asia Pacific transportation regulations, and USCG/IMO a plus
Experience with SAP software systems preferred
