Lettershop Manager

JKG Group seeks a manager to head our Direct Mail Lettershop. Applicants must have a proven record of success in a complex, high-volume Lettershop environment and a minimum of five years of experience.

Responsibilities:
• Manages all aspects of Direct Mail Lettershop operation, including equipment operation and maintenance; mail processing production scheduling; and coordination of delivery of mail to USPS.
• Coordinates the flow of mail through the shop and ensures that client specifications are adhered to, deadlines are met, and postal regulations are followed.
• Provides interpretation for questions regarding mail regulations as well as providing advice and instructions on proper mail piece design.
• Works with data department to ensure all data requirements are communicated effectively.
• Provides quality control for jobs moving through the Direct Mail Lettershop.
• Estimates costs of mail services.
• Evaluates industry standards and maintains competitive pricing structure.
• Maintains relationships with USPS.
• Interacts with internal customers regarding mailing policies and procedures, execution of projects and quality control.
• Secures customer approval on all changes or deviations from the original specifications.
• Advises sales personnel regarding available mailing services, mailing options and postal regulations
• Participates in and makes decisions regarding personnel, training, safety and related aspects of management.
• Keeps controls on expenses, to include labor/overtime, supplies, and other operational expenses.
• Ensures that billing is completed each month for jobs flowing through the Lettershop.

REQUIREMENTS


Applicants must possess:
• Experience with ink-jetting, tabbing, and inserting equipment.
• An in-depth knowledge of Postal Regulations and Mail Piece Design.
• A solid understanding of how mail flows through the production process and the USPS.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong quality, technical, communication, organizational, and team-building skills a must.
• 3 - 5 years of supervisory skills.
