Industrial Engineer III

The Vons Distribution Center has an opening for an Industrial Engineer III. The work site is located in El Monte.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Establish productivity standards.
Develop information and reports for supporting distribution management in control of labor cost.
Assist in developing work standards, schedules and procedures for method improvements and cost reduction.
Evaluate new programs, procedures and equipment. Develop recommendations.
Assist distribution facilities with understanding and implementing labor productivity and cost controls.
Analyze and develop distribution cost improvement opportunities.
Conduct labor audits and time studies to validate and ensure the reasonableness and soundness of all implemented labor standards.
Travel required 10%
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
4 year college degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
1-2 years experience in Industrial Engineering. MTM Certification is required.
Knowledge of Warehousing and Transportation Operations.
Strong computer skills with emphasis on Access, Excel and Word.
Experience with implementing engineered labor standards in a union environment.
Experience with EXEED2000 Warehouse Management System highly desirable.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Strong mathematical/statistical analysis skills.
Strong ability in public speaking, training and presentation.
