INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION MANAGER

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Manager, Industrial Distribution would be to recruit, train, and assist distributors who sell Squire-Cogswell industrial branded products. Specific responsibilities include:

Recruit distributors who currently sell an industrial line of vacuum pumps and systems.
Promote the scope of industrial products.
Communicate key terms of business, including policies on
pricing/discounts, credit, service work, points of contact, and deliveries.
Set mutually agreed upon sales goals for each distributor.
Provide direct sales assistance and product training to distributors’ sales forces.
Create and maintain SalesLogix database of all significant contacts.
Report to management as required.
Attain overall sales and profitability goals.
Provide quotes to distributors on standard products as needed.
Sell pumps and pumping systems to OEM accounts on a direct basis.Benefits:

Territory will include the Western United States market, with the exception of districts currently covered by current Industrial District Managers.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial vacuum industry.
Experience in the development and management of distributor network.
Ability to travel minimum of 50% of the time.
Strong communication skills.
Attention to the attainment of profit objectives.Reporting Requirements:

Weekly synchronization of SalesLogix database.
Weekly Significant Activities Report, including itinerary
Expense reports are paid weekly, but should not be any older than 30 days.
Weekly update of sales funnel, including quotes and anticipated orders.
Advertising lead follow up reports as provided by Marketing
Annual sales revenue/activity plan (To be formally developed in concert with Vice-President of Sales within 15 days of acceptance of offer of employment.)Scope of Industrial Products:

Squire-Cogswell rotary vane vacuum pumps
Standard line of liquid ring vacuum systems
Standard line of rotary vane vacuum systems
Standard line of oil-less air systems
Custom vacuum and air systems on a select basis
Miscellaneous air and vacuum system components, such as separators, relief valves, filters, vacuum pump oil, rebuild kits, etc.
Limited pipeline products, such as valves, valve boxes, and manifolds
