DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Monitoring of inbound and outbound activity: tractors, trailers, and containers
2.Conducting daily “Power Checks” to ensure the proper numbers of trailers are available to move freight.
3.Provide on-time pick-up and delivery of loads.
4.Address service failures and address solutions.
5.Maintain an updated trailer availability status.
6.Have a pro-active mentality aimed for the prevention of service related issues or failures.
7.Communicate effectively to promote a healthy professional relationship with internal/external customers and strive to exceed their service needs and expectations
8.Bring problems to SLI manager and play an active part in the resolution.
9.Ensure a balance of safety, customer service and organizational values.
10.Demonstrate flexibility with varying work schedules as customer/company needs and demands.
11.Operates and executes all assigned responsibilities in a safe manner.
12.Monitor movement of loads and freight being loaded via Computer System.
13.Review load plans with Load Planning Agents and make necessary adjustments or recommendations.
14.Communicate with a clear, concise and professionals manner with internal and external clients.
Shift 1: Tuesdays - Saturdays from 6:30 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.
Shift 2: Tuesday - Saturdays from 3:30 P.M. – 12:30 A.M.Long BeachCaliforniaUnited States
REQUIREMENTS
1.Proven initiative and leadership required
2.Have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
3.Mature, self-confident, and self-starting
4.Fluent in computer applications to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
5.Possess pleasant telephone personality with good listening skills
6.Able to function accurately at an accelerated pace
7.Excellent follow-up skills
8.Able to plan and organize well
9.Attention to detail
10.Prior LTL transportation experience required
