Expeditor/Planner
Summary:
Energy Systems, a division of Parker Hannifin, is looking for a responsible, analytical, and resourceful Expeditor/Planner to join our dynamic team in our New Britain, CT, location. This position IS responsible for analyzing, planning, and managing the flow of materials to ensure they are provided according to schedule.
Responsibilities/Functions:
• Manages and prepares division inventory relating to records, tracking of materials, changing business activity, quality of materials and stocking levels.
• Works closely with procurement to ensure reorder processes and timely delivery are in place.
• Analyzes production requirements based on immediate sales orders and short/medium term forecast considering production resources (people, materials, equipment).
• Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided when needed.
• Maintains configuration control on all open orders and appropriate data files as required by division policies and procedures.
• Complies with federal, state, and industry regulations; ensures adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions.
• Complies with policies and procedures in Government/Commercial Practices Manual (GPM, CPM).
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• Associates Degree in Business or Technical field required, 4 yr. degree preferred.
• Must have 5 yrs experience.
• Must possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing and experience with material replenishment principles, such as Kan Ban, etc, preferred.
• Must have advanced computer skills and be able to understand electronic processing.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements related to production control.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and policies and recommend changes to procedures.
• Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal-setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
• Must have experience with Excel, and Word.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
